- GAMEGUARD ERROR 3221225477 CODE
I heavily doubt it has anything to do with Ms and Nvidia recent updates, mainly because the error is clearly an "access violation" one, and because the game works perfectly when running from the Rockstar Launcher alone.
GAMEGUARD ERROR 3221225477 CODE
So, yeah, this is specific to the (3221225477) code Hence why I note the numbers after the code (3221225477), the others 0xc0000005 from, august?, before august?, have a different code (and reason), while this started to happen after the current new Rockstar launcher and god knows what people are doing to test/fix their issues. Again, with multiple updates hitting across R*, MS, nvidia. And, there have been users here stating they were crashing in story and not offline for the R* version of gtav. The crashing errors also were also clearly happening before the wonder launcher was pushed. just that the first majority of these errors started landing weeks AFTER the update). If the launcher loads playgtav which loads the gta5.exe specific to each version - their bases are covered (not saying they didn't push a problem with any of the files updated. 3.5gb difference in total size =/= the same as 3 files with a few bytes changed each. Originally posted by psykoteky:The R* and steam version have had differences in 3 files (IIRC - 2 being non-mp related. So yeah, that launch argument for SC offline fix that works is also consistent with this.
GAMEGUARD ERROR 3221225477 DRIVERS
So, there, no need to fumble with drivers and other stuff regarding that error "0xc0000005 (3221225477)", it's a conflict between the launchers, it's one launcher having access issues with the other. I tried verifying the files in both launchers, it's always consistent, there's always the same file difference for both. Surprise!, the issue SHOULD be the launcher, since the game is NOT the same on both stores, there's always a 3.5gb file difference between them, the Rockstar Launcher version NEVER crashes in SP, the Steam version ALWAYS crashes in SP after around 20 to 30 mins (online NEVER crashes in both versions)
GAMEGUARD ERROR 3221225477 INSTALL
I own the game both in the old Social Club, and then repurchased on Steam a long later after the offers a couple of years agoĮvery time I open the launcher, it never showed the "play on Steam" button, only the "install" button, so I tried to check if the game was the same in both, by clicking install and using the same folder of the already installed game on Steam

There IS a big file difference between Rockstar launcher version of the game and Steam
